Fear in The Sims 2 is just one of the ways the life simulator represents your Sim's many desires, specifically their wishes for something not to happen. The wish and fear system, often referred to as SWAF, gives your Sims up to three simultaneous fears, such as failing in love or not being able to pay Sims rent. Like desires, they will change over time unless the player manually blocks them, but if they are fulfilled, your Sim will face a huge penalty on their aspiration bar.

Under normal circumstances, fears are something to be avoided. However, one enterprising YouTuber has taken it upon himself to create the worst possible life for one unfortunate Sim by trying to make all of their fears come true for their entire lives — and beyond. Call Me Kevin proudly states, "I've done what my Sim has been afraid of all their lives."

Things start badly: Kevin's failed experiment faces everyday traumas like repeatedly turning down dates and eating moldy sandwiches with his partner on their dirty couch. As his life spins out of control, his unwanted child tries to clean up the mess. However, things take a rather bleak turn when Sim begins to worry about the possible death of his partner Nina. Luckily, Nina seems to want to be struck by lightning.

Despite this, Nina proves to be relatively hardy, and Kevin's Sim seems to be relatively successful at his job. Kevin resorts to the old "take the ladder out of the pool" trick to put the final nail in Nina's coffin, but even that doesn't seem to dampen his Sim's mood, which seems remarkably resilient as his needs are usually met with all the moldy bread and his growing career in paralegal business.

In the end, an unfortunate fire in the kitchen brought an untimely end to the unfortunate soul's stay in this mortal world, but soon Kevin brings him and his wife back as zombies. Surprisingly, even this doesn't seem to lower his mood as much as expected - showing that Sims can be remarkably resilient.

We still don't know too much about The Sims 5 release date, but its prototype The Sims Project Rene is already in closed beta as EA and the community begin work on their next game.
