Film Breathe

Breathe is set in the near future, when air supplies on the Earth's surface are limited and survivors are forced to ration their oxygen intake. In such a dilapidated New York, Maya and her daughter Zora are forced to live in a bunker, where Maya's scientist husband, Darius, is working on an oxygen generator that could save the world. One day, when Darius does not return from a trip to the surface of the Earth, Maya and Zora begin to make such trips themselves and meet Tess, a stranger who asks Maya for shelter and help, claiming to know Darius and his invention. Once the strangers are in the bunker, everything changes, and Maya and Zora find themselves in a brutal fight for survival with limited oxygen supplies, and the strangers reveal more than they allow themselves to. EGOT Award winner Jennifer Hudson returns in 2021 in her first acting role since Respect. Hudson stars as Maya, Quvenzhane Wallis as her daughter Zora, and Milla Jovovich as Tess.

Described as a "survival thriller on the edge" and exploring the terrifying but very real possibility of the end of the world, Breathe has the potential to be a huge sci-fi action film. Is there a trailer for the film Breathe?

Following an exclusive image released in March 2024, the first official trailer for Breathe gives us a glimpse into the breathtaking thriller. Set in the future, the film follows a mother-daughter duo as they wage a desperate struggle to survive on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The trailer opens with Maya's husband and Zora's father, Darius (Common), leaving his bunker, which will be the last time they see him. After he goes missing and is presumed dead, the women begin to flee their hideout when they encounter two more survivors during one of their forays to the surface. Claiming to know about Darius and what could have happened to him, one of the strangers, Tess, tries to break into Maya's bunker. What appears to be a plea for help and an attempt to save the world soon turns into a sinister plan to seize the remaining oxygen. From there, the plot gets more intense and darker as Maya and Zora wage a desperate struggle for survival against these two intruders and the new strangers who are looking for them.

In addition to introducing the main characters - Hudson, Wallis and Jovovich - the trailer also shows scenes featuring Sam Worthington and Raul Castillo, who will likely also join the fight for the oxygen generator. Much of the trailer is action-packed and dark shots of a post-apocalyptic New York City, which helps make the sci-fi survival thriller's plot more compelling.
