This is a huge two-chamber military airship with a full complement of cannons that can devastate enemy lines and settlements while remaining relatively safe in the sky.

ChaosRobie's Dwarf Thunderbarge mod is a well-designed expansion pack that includes its own illustrious regiment and a new legendary hero, Malachi Makaisson, who rides the Spirit of Grunga horse. After installing the mod and starting the campaign, you will be able to complete a short side quest in which you will save Malakai from the boredom of the boring teaching job he holds around Nuln.

To receive the quest, you do not have to play for the Dwarven faction - it triggers at the beginning of the campaign for the Empire, Bretonnia, Kislev and Cathay.

Whether you're playing as Malakai and the famed Thunder's Wrath Regiment, your Thunder Barges have several powerful special abilities on the battlefield: they can fire in a 270-degree arc while moving, can drop bombs, and can fire from the left and starboard (as special features). First-person aiming is also available, which sounds like what you'd need for a siege on a large settlement.

The mod allows the Thunderer to use Dwarven skills and technology unlocks, as well as updated tooltips to help you understand what's going on.
