People online believe that Xbox gaming boss Phil Spencer is teasing Microsoft's "Keystone" streaming device.

Looking through an executive's tweet showing shelves of merchandise, on the topmost shelf is a small white box that looks like a mini Xbox. Even the power button looks similar.

This has led many to believe that the small box is a streaming device that Microsoft is developing under the code name "Keystone."

Back in May, there was a report that Microsoft was going to get into game streaming using a device similar to the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The message was accurate, but Microsoft decided to refocus its efforts on a "new approach."

The report said that within 12 months a device would be released that would allow users to stream games available through the Xbox. Game Pass Ultimate. However, Microsoft said it has decided to "retire the current iteration of the Keystone device" and will instead "refocus" its efforts on a "new approach" that will allow it to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more players around the world in the future.

So perhaps the little box pictured on Spencer's shelf is the new iteration of "Keystone." Or maybe not. We'll just have to wait to find out.
