A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 makes Rockstar's sandbox game much more brutal and realistic, transforming hit reactions and death animations, adding life to the western after the supposed end of Red Dead Online, and while we hope more news about the GTA release date is coming soon 6.

The simply titled "Flo" mod by WickedHorseMan addresses a peculiar but often frustrating aspect of gunplay in Red Dead Redemption 2, where enemies, when they get shot down and knocked down, quickly recover and get back on their feet. It never really made much sense how opponents can seemingly brush off a gunshot to the stomach and return to the action like nothing happened, but Flo makes the violence in RDR2 much more realistic by slowing down the punch animations and landing enemies just like that that you can actually see and feel their pain.

And not only human enemies will react more believably to shots. Wounded animals will stagger and stumble for more of the time, as will the player himself, meaning that a shotgun blast to the shoulder will leave you vulnerable to a finishing shot if you're not very careful. Combat in Red Dead Redemption 2 has always benefited from a sense of chaos and heft, with every confirmed hit from one of your tin rifles knocking enemies back or knocking them into cover. Flo greatly enhances this feeling, making each confrontation even more lethargic, brutal and cinematic. You can download it now from Nexus mods.

It's a great way to breathe fresh energy into the Rockstar sandbox while we wait for more details on Grand Theft Auto 6.
