Transforming Bethesda's RPG with updated visuals, survival mechanics, and prequel story content, the Nexus Mod for Fallout 4 has just been updated to add new perks, fresh gameplay systems, and an all-new mental health dynamic, bringing the Fallout series back to the years immediately after the Great War. war and giving us all a reason to rejoice ahead of Starfield's release date.

Frost is a transformative nexus mod that takes Fallout 4 to the early 2080s, just after the nuclear war between China and the United States destroyed the world. Having initially added deadly combat, new factions, and an entire subway system connecting the Fallout Commonwealth, the latest update—which feels like a continuation of the first Frost—adds over 200 new terminals and journal entries to advance the Fallout story, another new faction, and a revamped crafting system that challenges you create survival basics such as medicine, camouflage and bandages.

Perhaps most significant is the new "hallucination" system, whereby your character can go "crazy" and begin imagining various NPCs and events. If your mental stress gets too high, you'll begin to imagine creepy mannequins and even the famous barbarian Grognak, with some hallucinations specific to certain locations.

If the hallucinations are too strong, you can enter a "fugue state" and your character will lose consciousness and wake up in a completely different place on the map. This expands the survival options in Fallout 4 beyond just the physical and health aspects, and you can try the updated version of Frost now at Nexus Mods.
