As for Fallout 4 mods, there are a lot of them. The 2015 RPG has been heavily supported by the community since launch, and big reworks like Fallout: London and Fallout: Miami are coming, along with quirky creations like Lego Fallout and a cardboard figure of the one and only Todd Howard.

However, if you're looking for a simple yet effective Fallout 4 texture mod, this HD texture overhaul might be just what you need. Developed by luxor8071, "Fallout 4 HD Overhaul 2K" is a mod with an unfussy name that is quite a game changer. Luxor8071 has been releasing Fallout 4 texture overhaul mods for quite some time, but this is a much larger project.

This latest mod is a complete texture overhaul that provides "new and improved HD textures" to thousands of objects in the Fallout 4 base game and its DLC. There are better textures for clothes, creatures, weapons, armor and more, as well as most other luxor8071 mods.

These types of mods don't seem that interesting at first glance, but once you download them, you'll feel like you're playing a whole new game. The post-apocalyptic nuclear retro-futuristic 50s of the Fallout universe is part of what makes it so special, so being able to see all of Bethesda's assets in even more detail is amazing.

You are warned not to check the integrity of a Fallout 4 mod file replaced by ba2 via Steam after installation, although it's not clear why this is a problem.

You can check out the Fallout 4 mod at Nexus mods which has instructions and guides for downloading the texture pack for the Bethesda RPG.
