A new and improved mod for Fallout: New Vegas allows you to make sure that power armor is no longer a visual failure. After Bethesda's RPG Fallout 3 reintroduced the series' massive masses of steel and power as mere attire that required some training, retro-futuristic military armor left a lot to be desired in open-world games. Power Armor has been the visual symbol of Fallout for 25 years, and now the revamped New Vegas treats it with the respect it deserves.

This mod called Titans of the New West 2.0 by Woooombat is a 2020 mod update for Fallout: New Vegas that adds new power armor content, features, optimizations, and extensive support for Fallout: New Vegas mods.

The main improvement this mod brings to Fallout: New Vegas is aesthetic, aiming to make power armor "heavier, bulkier, and more imposing" than it was known for in Fallout 4. Woooombat says power armor should now look more like similar to how it looked in the classic games, with lots of mesh and texture improvements throughout.

The Pip-Boy was also properly integrated into the Power Armor and their wristbands housed the in-game menu tool. There are even new animations to help convey the scale and weight of power armor, as well as sprinting in power armor.

The Enclave armor now more closely resembles how it looked in Fallout 2, and the salvaged NCR armor is now "unapologetically and proudly different from the standard Faction/Brotherhood of Steel T45d armor."

The updated version of the Fallout: New Vegas mod even has additional content that "includes alternate minigun idle animations, mapped world objects for all armor types, unique display models for the Enclave Advanced Power Armor in the Remnants Bunker, and the T51b Insulated Armor in Anchorage Outpost and US headquarters."

You can find Titans of the New West 2.0 at Nexus Mods, but it requires some other mods to work, so it's a good idea to check the description and make sure your mods match.
