Hogwarts Legacy cast and voice actors

Looking for who the actors are in the game Hogwarts Legacy? Hogwarts Legacy includes some big name actors, and so there are sure to be a few professors, students, or even dark wizards among them, whose voices you'll recognize as you explore the wizarding world.

The most famous voice at the moment is Simon Pegg, who will appear in one of the biggest upcoming PC games of 2023 as school principal Phineas Nigellus Black. An already exciting list of names joins Pegg as even more characters have been announced alongside him Hogwarts Legacylike Professor Weasley and even more students you can befriend as you explore the massive open world map Hogwarts Legacy looking for Floo Flames locations and other magical mechanics.

Amit Thakkar

Amit Thakkar is a Ravenclaw student with an interest in astronomy, played by Asif Ali, who may become one of your traveling companions. Hogwarts Legacy. You may recognize Ali from a number of famous TV shows and movies, including WandaVision, Don't Worry Darling, or the animated series BoJack Horseman.

Deputy Headmaster Professor Matilda Weasley

The school's vice-principal, Matilda Weasley, should be voiced by a good-natured red-haired British woman, and who better than Leslie Nicol of Downton Abbey fame. Of course, this isn't the only place you might recognize Nichol's voice, as her extensive career includes the British (and original) Shameless, Once Upon a Time, Father Brown and Doc Martin. Like most actors Hogwarts Legacy, you will almost certainly recognize her voice if you are a fan of British television.

Everett Clopton

A young Ravenclaw student who is more interested in pranks than studies might mistake Everett Clopton for the Weasley brothers. You can't go wrong, his actor Luke Youngblood played the twins' best friend and prankster Lee Jordan in the film series, and also returned to the franchise in Hogwarts Legacy.

Principal Phineas Nigellus Black

Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black is one of the only characters we already know about from the Harry Potter series. We still don't know much, but yes, he is the ancestor of everyone's favorite godfather, Sirius. Professor Black is played by hilarious British actor Simon Pegg, known for his roles in Spaced and Shaun of the Dead (among many others). If you forgot about this list, and the voice of the school principal has become an earworm for you that you cannot get rid of after leaving Hogwarts Legacythen you obviously haven't watched enough British comedies.

Nearly Headless Nick and Sorting Hat

Two more familiar hard-hitting faces in Hogwarts history are Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat, voiced by the same person in Hogwarts Legacy. We don't know what role Nick will play in Hogwarts Legacy, or he'll just be an NPC roaming the area, but we certainly know that the Sorting Hat makes a huge difference on your first day of school. If you are afraid to go through sorting in an open world game, you can always import your house and wand into Hogwarts Legacyto make sure you get where you want to go.

Both the Sorting Hat and the Nearly Severed Ghost are voiced by Jason Anthony, an accomplished voice actor with many games and movies under his belt, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Marmaduke. But the most interesting thing for this role is that Anthony voiced Ron Weasley himself in the now defunct mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

Professor Onai

Professor Onai is the mother of Gryffindor student Natsai Onai. The couple moved from Africa when Onay was offered the position of Professor of Divination, which she had previously held at the largest school of wizards in the world, Ouagadou. Her voice actor has a history of doing less-than-savory jobs—but don't worry, we won't judge you if you recognize Candice Cayne's voice from the horror film The Human Centipede 2. Instead, we'll assume you know her vocals from Modern Warfare II, in which she voiced Nova.

Professor Satyawati Shah

Astronomy Professor Shah is voiced by Som Kapila, whose incredible career spans from the stage to classic British and American series and around the world, moving from India, the UK and the US. You might recognize her voice in Casualty or Grey's Anatomy (depending on your preference or locality), in the revamped series Charmed, or in the 2017 movie The Mummy, but this is her first foray into the gaming industry.

Player Characters

Warner Bros does not hide the fact that character creation in the game "Hogwarts Legacy” is broad and varied, allowing you to truly delve into the intricacies of who you want to become. However, there are only two voices you can choose from when creating a character, and they belong to Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething.

Heartbreaker became a hit on Netflix in 2022, so you may recognize Croft's voice from his role as Ben Hope in the series. He also starred in the film Horrible Histories and voiced Fletcher in the second season of Love, Death & Robots. Getting, meanwhile, became famous in the film “The Amelia Getting Complex.” Yes. The multi-talented star wrote and starred in the BBC comedy. If you haven't heard of it and still recognize her voice, it might be Anne Brontë's role in the movie Emily.
