Spells are, of course, one of the most attractive aspects of studying at Hogwarts, as well as the opportunity to get into magical troubles. So, what spells can we use in Hogwarts Legacy, and how will spells and combat work?
During a gameplay stream showcasing the open-world game, we got the chance to see for the first time all common rooms Hogwarts Legacy, fast travel, and the game's user interface, including access to spells. We know there will be over 20 spells in the game Hogwarts Legacy, which can be learned as you progress through the tutorial, and four spells available for quick access in the HUD.
All spells Hogwarts Legacy
At the moment, we do not yet know all the spells that will be available in "Hogwarts Legacy", as the developers leave some things to be revealed after the game's release. However, thanks to videos and trailers, we already know some of them. We will update this list as new known spells become available.
- Accio - attract an object or fighter to you.
- Going down - crash into the ground.
- Fire Protection — set fire to objects or opponents.
- Petrificus totalus - freezes enemies so that they cannot move.
- Revelation — identify nearby objects.
- stupefy - stun the enemy.
- Wingardium Leviosa — lift objects and fighters into the air.
And even unforgivable curses:
- Avada kedavra - kill your target.
- I torture - Causes incredible pain to your target.
- Empire - force enemies to fight on your behalf
As you level up, complete challenges and gain experience, you will be able to improve your spells, making them more powerful in preparation for increasingly difficult battles.
How to use spells Hogwarts Legacy
Among the 20+ spells available in Hogwarts Legacy, there are two types of spells: slot and main. While you can select your favorite spells for quick access to the "spell diamond" and change them as you see fit, the core spells are considered more important by the developers and can be needed in any situation - Revelation is one of them.
For now, we only know how spells are used on a controller - although this can presumably be changed in the settings. How you'll access spells on the keyboard and mouse remains a mystery. The four selected spells can be accessed using the spell diamond in the bottom right corner of the screen by holding down the right controller button and then pressing the corresponding button for the desired spell. The main spell is accessed using the left button on the d-pad. Select and change spells using the right button on the d-pad.
Over the course of the game, you have the option to unlock up to three additional Spell Diamonds, which means you'll have 16 special spells at your fingertips, ready for battle. Instead of filling the bottom of the screen with spell diamonds, simply use the d-pad while holding the right power button to scroll through the set diamonds.
To access the Spell Diamond, you must hold the right trigger, as simply pulling it will trigger a basic spell, such as Accio. In combat, this spell can be seen at the top of the screen. Press the right button several times to create a combination of attacks.
Dueling Club of Crossed Wands
A little overwhelmed? Yes, us too. Luckily, that's where Crossed Wands comes in, a dueling club that will give you the chance to try your hand at combat for the first time in "Hogwarts Legacy" Located in the clock tower, the Crossed Wands dueling club allows you to practice at a fast pace, mastering spells, combos and cooldowns.
