After a series of major delays, Ubisoft has announced that The Settlers: New Allies release date has now been set for 17 February 2023 year. The City Builder/RTS hybrid game is coming to PC, but Ubisoft is also making ports for consoles and Luna, with shared cross-play and cross-progression on each platform.

When will The Settlers: New Allies be released?

The Settlers: New Allies release date set for 17 February 2023 year.

First announced for 2019, The Settlers (which was most recently subtitled "New Allies") was delayed indefinitely in 2020, just as Ubisoft underwent a major leadership shake-up following widespread allegations of toxic management. sexual misconduct and abusive working conditions at several studios. A new release date was set for March 2022, but the studio delayed the launch again following negative feedback from the closed beta.

In the following video (in English), Creative Director Christian Hagedorn talks about some of the changes the team has made to the game in light of the feedback received during The Settlers: New Allies beta.

Units have been rebalanced and, in some cases, renamed; new neutral warrior camps now protect unclaimed territory between starting points, providing protection at the beginning of the game; there was a story single-player campaign of 13 missions; added features such as an updated save system and custom keybindings.

So, if everything goes according to plan and The Settlers release date doesn't get pushed back, then in February we'll finally be able to dive into the new and improved version of The Settlers. In the meantime, check out our list best RTS games on PC.
