Youtuber Esoterickk from Destiny 2 soloed through Master Nightfall without using the movement keys, disabling the WASD keys and performing the seemingly impossible feat using the Titan Arc Striker's power, his Thundercrash ultimate, Thruster class ability, and swords.
“A bit of a weird game, but basically the rules I set for it were that I had to turn off WASD and clear the Nightfall solo. Obviously the Arc and Lightning crystals make this much easier than it would otherwise be, as well as the fact that I'm a Nightfall Master and not a Grandmaster. Otherwise I felt it would have been too tedious and time-consuming, so at least in this case it's still somewhat entertaining." Esoterickk explains in the description the video he posted that is a feat. This means that he thinks he could complete a difficult task on GM difficulty if he tried.
“I still allowed jumping, sparring only through boost control, and otherwise all movement was with swords, thrust or super. Not that hard after all, just needed to do something different,” the description reads.
However, despite Esoterickk's modesty, many players find the task of completing Master Nightfall daunting even with a full team. Nightfalls are relatively difficult PvE events in Destiny 2, and a solo run through any night waterfall, even with full use of all the buttons on the keyboard, will be impressive for most players. In addition, Bungie includes several Nightfall modifiers to make things even more difficult. For this Nightfall modifiers included increased melee hit damage, increased damage from Arc and Stasis, reduced ammo count, powerful opponents including Barrier and Unstoppable Champions that require special weapon mods to defeat, and locked gear, meaning Esoterikk is not could change gear if things didn't go according to plan. However, the modifiers also caused Stasis and Arc's abilities to recharge faster than normal, which helped Esoterikk increase the speed at which he could use Titan Striker's abilities to move quickly.
Esoterickk does this with ease, taking Master Nightfall at 1608 power level, which is only minimally above the recommended power level of 1600. The nightfall he attempts is The Disgraced, which, although known to be relatively easy, still has a few encounters , in which fighters must face hordes of enemies that players typically evade using the movement keys or the controller's thumb.
Here it controlled its direction solely with mouse movements, meaning it could only move in the direction of the camera's position. Esoterikk made heavy use of Thruster, a Titan Arc subclass ability that allows players to dodge to the side while on the ground. His Arc Titan ultimate, Thundercrash, allowed him to dash through the air. swords Destiny 2 also allow players to lunge, and the Eager Edge perk increases lunge distance immediately after switching to a weapon.
This build also uses the Heart of Inner Light. When wearing the Titan Exotic Chest Armor, any ability (Grenade, Melee, or Barricade) buffs the others when used, meaning those abilities cool down faster and deal more damage, or in the case of Barricade, take more damage.
With Arc's increased regeneration rate and solid overall physique, Esoterikk made it through most of the ordeal by being patient and throwing grenades.
Although Esoterickk videos usually feature content on Destiny 2, the YouTuber channel also has A 17-hour compilation in which he defeated 383 bosses. from Demon's Souls, the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring without taking any damage.
