How to light a fire in the game Sons of the Forest?
To start a fire in the game Sons of the Forest, you will need two basic items: a lighter and a stick. Sticks can be found in the wooded area of the island, and a lighter can be obtained from crates around the helicopter crash site.
Now take a stick and look at the ground. You will have two options represented as small white lines on the floor; with the circular option, the stick will stand upright on the ground, while with the other option, you will break the stick in half and place the pieces on the floor.
When the last option appears, left click, causing you to break the stick on your knee. You can right-click to alternate between circular and broken stick arrangements.
You can start a fire with one stick, but if you want to cook, be sure to break and add an extra stick or bring plenty of leaves to keep the fire going. To light a fire, look down at the sticks and press "E" when the lighter prompt appears.
How to cook food in Sons of the Forest?
When you manage to light the fire in the game Sons of the Forest, you'll want to crouch and interact with it again when the fire icon appears. Just be careful not to walk straight into the fire, as I did, quite silly, on my first attempt at cooking meat.
You will then be able to select from your inventory the items you wish to cook, such as raw meat.
