The Zenith Seed in Terraria 1.4.4 is one of the most interesting and exciting prospects added in the Labor of Love update. Terraria update 1.4.4 was released on September 28, but a full month after its release, many secrets are still being revealed. This particular secret concerns the sandbox game's "ultimate challenge" - the combination of all custom world seeds created to date, as well as the introduction of a new "Legendary Terraria" difficulty setting.

What is the Zenith Seed in Terraria?

Seed Zenith, affectionately called "getfixedboi" in reference to an old complaint sent to the Terraria team many years ago, is described by the team as "a true magnum opus of the seeds of the world of Terraria" and is the hardest challenge in the game. It combines missions such as "For The Worthy" (a seed that was previously designed to create a particularly challenging environment for players), "No Traps" (a seed that, as the name suggests, sets the world incredibly large number of traps) and "Don't Dig Up" (a seed that turns the concept of player progression on its head, launching players into the underground world and forcing them to work their way up to a completely redesigned surface layer).

All of this adds up to one hell of a challenge - but it turns out that in world generation Zenith there is one special secret that can make your life much easier. As Terraria's YouTuber Waasephi explains, moving the cursor across the world generation screen can collide shooting stars flying through space. As a reward for this, you will hear the meow of a cat. While this would probably be reward enough, the number of times you do this is tracked by the game and affects the number of items spawned in the world.

What can you get at Zenith?

You receive 0,1% additional items and structures in the world for each star gained, up to a maximum bonus of 20% at a total of 200 stars. These can be life crystals, statues, chests, gem caves and pots - but they are not all good news since traps and barrels of TNT also count. That said, more items should make your life easier overall, and when you're up against the challenges of Terraria's toughest seed, every little bit helps.

Post The Easter egg was shared on Twitter by the game's creator and lead developer Andrew 'Redigit' Spinks, thereby confirming its authenticity. Additionally, Re-Logic VP and Terraria producer Whitney "Cenx" Spinks also thrown out with a "It's true" GIF to further confirm the news. Get out there and start pinging those stars!
