Black Reliquary can be called an expansion to Darkest Dungeon given the amount of changes it brings. Adding new characters, a new storyline, and more, the long-awaited mod is finally out.
“Black Reliquary is a mod for Darkest Dungeon that completely overhauls the original systems, developing, improving or changing almost every aspect of them,” writes developer Team Reliquary. “This mod features an all-new story and campaign set in a new exotic desert environment, with a fully voice-acted narrative and original soundtrack. Travel to the Valley, reach the Black Reliquary and uncover its ancient secrets."
Although the mod itself is free, it Requires a copy of Darkest Dungeon to play, as well as the Crimson Court and Shieldbreaker DLCs. If you don't have them, you have package including both DLC and the base game, which is currently available in Steam.
Black Reliquary is the perfect way to kill time ahead of the release of Darkest Dungeon 2, which is set for May 8th.
