The new Core Keeper Desert of Beginnings update is coming to the sandbox game in November, and developer Pugstorm is calling it the game's "biggest update yet" Steam Early Access". This free update for the Terraria-style crafting game will introduce new biomes with new enemies, weapons, music and more, as well as several new features, including go-kart racing and bug hunting, in multiplayer.

Core Keeper The Desert of Beginnings Update Coming November 10th. This is the second major content update for the game since its release in Steam Early Access, which adds a new biome - the desert of the beginning of the same name. The update also includes a new sub-biome - Molten Quarry. Of course, these new areas mean lots of new enemies and some dangerous bosses, but they also promise new weapons, tools, resources, and base-building opportunities.

The new Core Keeper material, Galaxite Ore, can be used to create a special Galaxite Workbench, which players can use to create three different variations of the Kart. This new mode of transport is perfect for exploring the desert sands, and of course it wouldn't be complete without the opportunity to compete against your friends in a wheel-to-wheel race.

Also included in the update is Bug Hunting - a new Bug Net item allows players to capture a variety of animals to save and display, and twelve additional items are included in the new biomes. In addition, the update will include several additional quality of life improvements - achievements Steam, the ability to fish from boats and minecars, clickable recipes for easier cooking, and the ability to destroy, pick up, and place a wider selection of large world objects.

Pugstorm COO Sven Tole says: “Desert of Beginnings is by far our biggest update to Core Keeper, and one we're looking forward to seeing from players.” He adds: “We've listened very closely to what players love most about the game, as well as what else they'd like to see in the game, and we feel like we've gone a long way towards achieving that goal with this update.” He also highlights the possibilities that the new karting feature opens up, saying he "can't wait to see the community's reaction to it."
