Sometimes it can be impossible to see everything that is happening around you in the thick of the battle, but, fortunately, now there is Mod Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, which gives you a bird's eye view in the style of an RTS game. The RTS Camera mod allows you to control units from above, providing situational awareness, just like in strategy games type Total War: Warhammer III.

Created by modders LiZhenhuan1019 and Lkoinw, RTS Camera is actually a free camera mod similar to what you'll find when using photo mode in Bannerlord. Instead of being tied to your character's point of view, you can hold the camera high in the air and look down, then issue orders to your formations.

After installing the mod, you can activate the free camera mode during battles by pressing F10. However, there is one catch: the camera's range is determined by the tactics and skills of your party's scout. The more you master these two skills, the farther you can move the camera, which creates an interesting twist.

If the mod is activated, you can press Eto fix the camera on the unit, and then again press Eto manage it. At the beginning of each battle, you will need to open the configuration menu (pressing L) and make sure that the Control Ally After Death option is enabled - this way your units will not go under AI control if your character is killed.

you can find Mod RTS Camera or on the site Workshop Steam or Nexus Mods. Check out our list of the best mods for Bannerlordto learn more ways to improve your game.
