WB Games Montreal shared a couple of interesting facts about. Gotham Knights yesterday.

The first one was launch date November 29 to play in the Heroic Assault arena, which can be played by up to four players in co-op mode.

It appears that four-player co-op will be limited to this mode, as the base game can be played either solo or in two-player online co-op, as there is no local co-op. Additionally, Heroic Assault is a game mode separate from the main story campaign and features a special arena with specific objectives and enemies to defeat across 20 floors.

Thus, if you were hoping to complete the main campaign with three friends, this is not an option.

Another interesting news is related to the console version of the game. Apparently, despite the fact that Gotham Knights only available on next-gen systems, it doesn't have a performance mode, which is odd given that many new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S games have one.

Also, it only works at 30 FPS.

According to the game's executive producer, Fleur Marty (thanks, wario64), due to the game's features, such as a completely untethered co-op experience in a "highly detailed open world", it is not "as simple as lowering the resolution and getting a higher FPS".

For this reason, the game will not have a performance option and will run at 30fps on consoles.

Gotham Knights will go on sale October 21 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/s.
