The classic 1980 slasher film Terror Train, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, is getting a remake this Halloween season, and the company Pipes announced her own Fear Train a couple of months ago. The official trailer from Tubi arrived at the station this afternoon.

Tubi's first collaboration with Incendo, Terror Train, was filmed in Montreal and will premiere on October 21 as part of Tubi's successful annual month-long Halloween celebration called Terror on Tubi. The new adaptation, produced by Incendo, "will delight horror fans who have been dreaming of a remake of the 1980 cult classic for years."

In this modern-day remake, eerie excitement grips Alana (Robin Alomar) and a group of college seniors as they board the train for a Halloween-themed party, but their fun turns to fear when the train members are killed one by one by an unknown assassin. Hidden in costumes and engulfed in chaos, everyone is under suspicion. As the party train speeds through, Alana has to race down the tracks to find the killer before she becomes the next victim.

The new cast is led by Canadian actress Robyn Alomar (“Utopia Falls”), as well as Tim Rozon (“Schitt’s Creek”). The remake is written by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin (Slasher) and directed by longtime Incendo collaborator Philippe Gagnon (Amber Alert).

We can’t wait for audiences to ride “Fear Train” as we headline our annual Terror on Tubi event in October,” said Adam Levinson, Tubi’s Chief Content Officer. “With an incredibly talented team of directors and stellar performances, this film continues to cement Tubi as a key destination for horror fans.”

Brooke Peters, executive producer of Incendo, said: “Our strategy to diversify and expand our production program is coming to fruition, and we are thrilled to have found such an incredible partner in Pipes for this project. Tubi has had tremendous success with horror content and we look forward to them bringing our version of Fear Train to their audience in the US.”
