New trailer Wild Hearts showcases Karakuri gameplay in action and talks about some of the cool tech you'll be able to use in EA and Koei Tecmo's upcoming Monster Hunter game. As with Capcom's hugely successful RPGs, Wild Hearts You will have a variety of incredible traps, tricks, tools and vehicles that will help you defeat the colossal beasts that you will face in battle.

The latest trailer describes how ancient Karakuri technology is used and applied by your hunters to create all sorts of weapons and tools. It is implied that players are the first in a long time to learn how to use Karakuri, which can be shaped into all sorts of incredible objects. The trailer describes how, using Karakuri, "You can set traps, react to attackers and deal devastating damage to powerful Kemono - but you can both build and destroy."

Some of our favorite examples shown in the gameplay trailer are the movement options introduced by the Karakuri technique - jump pads that create a huge updraft, a personal glider with rotating helicopter blades, and small towers that can be climbed to gain a foothold at the top. There's even a giant unicycle for your hunter to sit in while you roll around the stunning open worlds Wild Heartsthat draw inspiration from feudal Japan. In addition, a radar-like structure is shown, and it is suggested that it can be used for reconnaissance.

Of course, there are many ways to use Karakuri in more destructive forms. In the trailer we see some of them - a large ballista, spear traps that pop out of the ground and hit nearby creatures to tie them up with ropes, a protective umbrella used to block incoming damage, fire and impact traps that can catch enemies off guard or, Seemingly used to enhance your own attacks are giant mines, cannons, and even a comically large hammer that whacks one poor monster right in the head.
