As expected, The Sims 4 system requirements are not very demanding, which allows you to use it on a wide variety of computers. It's available for both Windows and Mac, requires just 4GB of RAM, and should run on any gaming PC built within the last 16 years.
But we're talking about more than just a launch. We want it to work good. Luckily, most systems built in the last decade are capable of over 60fps, but you'll have to watch how you play. The more extensions and mods you install, the greater the load on the processor.
Not only do you not need the best graphics card to match The Sims 4's specifications, in some cases you don't even need a dedicated GPU. Modern APUs should handle the game just fine, and since The Sims 4 is a free game, why not just try your hand at it and see if it runs?
