New patch released Sons of the Forest, which adds a ton of features and fixes a lot of bugs and glitches. A game Sons of the Forest recently went into early access, so obviously it's not perfect at the moment. It might be a bit buggy and most likely won't be smooth until full release, but that doesn't mean it won't be a lot of fun.
Endnight Games is moving fast as the first update is out now, adding a lot of big and small features, as well as some gameplay balances, improvements and a long list of fixes. One of the biggest features added in this update is the introduction of hang gliders, which will be very useful for getting around the mountain landscape.

Also added to the game binoculars. This is a useful item that will help you spot the cannibals on the island from afar. You'll have to play the game to find out what it is, but the food bin also has a boss fight added to give it an extra challenge. The game also has some new story elements, and thanks to the zoom function, you will be able to see the story papers better. Watch out for trees, as cannibals can attack by jumping from trees.
The Kelvin problem
One notable fix is that Kelvin, an NPC companion who has quickly become a fan favorite, will no longer chop down trees that players' structures are attached to. So far, Kelvin has been chopping literally any tree in sight if you've given him the job, and obviously players have figured out that he's a bit of a goof, but now he's going to be more careful.
Other updates
Patch Sons of the Forest also includes a large number of other fixes. You will no longer get stuck if you die while climbing a rope, cannibals will not suddenly run up to windows to climb in, and unfortunately for speed runners, you will not be able to get through locked doors with a stick. You'll also find a number of improvements, such as improved red cannibal and mixing animations, unique/story items are forced to equip when harvested, and a radio has been added to bunker food.
