Valorant Fade nerfs and Cypher buffs are the focus of the 5.10 PBE patch notes for Riot Games multiplayer. Also included in the Valorant update are some game menu tweaks following feedback on Valorant UI changes and bug fixes for the new Valorant Harbor and Astra agents. Riot Games is always looking to make balance adjustments to help correct the meta of one of the best FPS games on PC, and there are two specific agents in this latest round of changes.

Referring to Fade, Riot says its Prowlers "was an all-around ability that was difficult to play against, and we want to improve it with these changes." This reduces their duration and slows their time to bite enemies, as well as lowering the duration of myopia applied to any enemies hit by them, in a change that Riot says "encourages Fade to be more circumspect in the areas she chooses" while helping her opponents better counter her.

The Cypher, on the other hand, gets a nice power boost as well as a few quality-of-life improvements. His Trapwire length has been significantly increased in an attempt to address the issue of his predictability. Riot is looking to improve the rewards for using their Neural Theft ultimate by removing the time limit to use it on enemy corpses, increasing its maximum cast range, and adding a second enemy detection four seconds after the first.

Perhaps even more exciting about Cypher's network are its quality of life settings. The yellow silhouette on his Spycam and Neural Theft abilities now becomes dimmer and fades out faster to distinguish him from the actual enemy, and will disappear if the detected enemy becomes visible to you to "help reduce confusion when seeing two images of an enemy in different locations ."

Valorant 5.10 PBE Patch Notes – November 4th

General

  • Menu update: After hearing the pain of removing one-click access to most of our menus, we've brought that functionality back in the form of icon buttons in the universal navigation at the top of the screen. You can now navigate from Home, Battle Pass, Agents, Career, Collection, and Store with a single click from anywhere. Don't know what the icon is? Hover over them - we have added hints to help you familiarize yourself.
  • Like most changes, this is not final and we will make adjustments based on your feedback!
