A new Skyrim mod adds dozens of nature-related spells and magical abilities to Bethesda's RPG. While The Elder Scrolls V is already replete with many exciting magical abilities across the various schools of Restoration, Alteration, Spells, Destruction and Illusion, the best mods for Skyrim include plenty of ways to spice up the fantasy game with all sorts of new tricks.

Natura mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from the creator of Norive is a nature-based spell pack that is balanced to match the spells found in the vanilla game. It introduces a variety of new magic that extends to all levels of the Restoration, Alteration, and Conjuration magic trees. Additionally, new Spriggans have been added to the game, both enemies and companions, as well as a range of Spriggan masks, each offering unique abilities to enhance your Dragonborn.

The Restoration Tree is the simplest and includes several layers of healing magic, as you'd expect, but also offers insect-based poison attacks that can be cast over a large area with abilities like Bug Bomb, or applied to everyone around the user using skills like Bug Cloak. You can also protect yourself with Oak Heart to reduce incoming damage, or restore health when attacked with Earth Shield.

Alteration spells offer many strong buffs that can be applied to yourself to increase stats such as stamina regeneration or deflect damage from attackers by covering yourself in a crown of thorns. However, you also have 18 different Aspects to choose from. Only one of these can be active at a time, but they range from simple effects like increased elemental damage on attacks and spells to more powerful abilities. Aspect of the Phoenix causes you to quickly heal yourself and set all nearby enemies on fire when your health drops below 25%, while Aspect of the Basilisk gives you a chance to petrify any enemy in front of you for XNUMX seconds.

Finally, the school of witchcraft gives you the kinds of summonings you'd normally expect, but with a whole host of new options. Some of them, like deer and mud crabs, aren't really particularly useful—Noriv notes that they're "more for role-playing purposes, but they'll attack your enemies just like any other summoner." At higher levels, however, you have the ability to summon the likes of Chaurus and Sabercat hunters, as well as various new Spriggan variants.

The last (but by no means least) of the additions are Spriggan masks, of which there are 24 in total. Each of the six Spriggan variants has four possible drops - one of which is the mask in its base, unenchanted form, and the rest offer the wearer a number of powerful buffs. Our favorites include the Chameleon Mask, which grants invisibility while standing still, and the Stag Mask, which increases your movement speed by 50% when out of combat.

It all sounds great to us, and it's the perfect setup for a new playthrough of one of the best open-world games on PC centered around these spells. If you wish to do the same, you can download the file Skyrim mod Natura on Nexus Mods.
