Cutscene from Destiny 2, which debuted as part of the conclusion of Season of Plunder, brings back one of MMO's most important characters.

The cutscene narrated by Saint-14 is about the awakening of Osiris, an exiled mage of the Vanguard who has traveled through thousands of timeline simulations in the game to save humanity.

Osiris has been in a weakened state of consciousness since the release of Season of the Hunt, which debuted over two years ago. His Ghost, Sagira, sacrificed herself to save him from being killed by the Hive god Xivu Arath, leaving him vulnerable. The subsequent series of events served as the catalyst for the subsequent "Witch Queen" when Savathune took over his body, assumed his identity, and used it to spy on the Vanguard in the Tower. Savathun eventually returned Osiris in exchange for Mara Sov's assistance in eliminating the Hive Queen's worm, but left him in an unconscious, coma-like sleep state.

It appears that the Relics of Nezarek collected by players throughout the season were part of a means to awaken Osiris.

In this cutscene, Mystraax felt the reliquaries speak to him, with Saint-14 describing their power as terrifying. However, even the connection with the Darkness did not prevent Mystraax from using their power, making tea from them, which he fed to Osiris to wake him from his sleep.

It's important to note that early in the season, Misraax lashed out at Spider when he suggested using the relics' power to his advantage. Edio, the Eliksni researcher, also mentions the "Curse of Nezarek". All this taken together indicates that the awakening of Osiris could lead to something terrible. According to one theory, the power of Darkness may have orchestrated the use of the relics to awaken Osiris, indicating possible evil intent.

In this cutscene Destiny 2  it is revealed that because Savatun had usurped Osiris' body to spy on the Tower, he can now access her thoughts. He speaks of seeing a mystery on Neptune. Players who watched the show Destiny 2 Lightfall know that this secret is most likely Neomun, a city that is not currently known to the inhabitants of the Last City. Although we have yet to determine what follows from this, the teaser Destiny 2 Rasputin points out that in season 19 Destiny 2 possibly the return of the Warmind, the only other known being fully aware of the city's existence outside of the Last City.

cutscene Destiny 2 ends on a heartfelt note as Osiris confesses his love for Saint-14. Guardians familiar with the story know that Osiris and Saint-14 are lovers, and it's very satisfying to see Osiris come out of his dream state to share a kiss with her. Longtime Players Destiny 2You may remember that the purpose of creating Sundial was for Osiris to use the power of time travel to save Saint-14 from certain death, allowing them to be together in the present.

The return of Osiris marks a turning point in the storyline Destiny 2, since he has not appeared in the game for a long time. While he will likely have to spend some time recovering from his sleep, there is no doubt that he will continue to play his part in the upcoming space game series of events.
