The Overwatch 2 Ramattra reveal gameplay trailer gives us our first look at how the Omnic tank will play in the game. Blizzard has revealed all the juicy details about Hero 36 who will be joining the roster, as well as the release date for Overwatch 2 Season 2. While we've already had a look at Ramathra's abilities, ultimate, and Nemesis form, this is the first time we've seen one of Overwatch 2's biggest heroes in action. The spectacle is certainly worthy of attention.

Ramattra is a powerful Omnic tank hero who spends most of his time in "Omnic form", where he has a relatively modest 450 health and relies on a more poke-oriented playstyle, combining his main Void Accelerator fire projectiles with a projected Void Barrier to hit enemies from a distance and protect your team. The stream of projectiles has a travel time, so you have to target targets from a distance, but there is no damage drop.

He can also fire nanospheres that explode on contact with the floor with a Ravenous Vortex, creating a damaging force field on impact with the ground that pulls enemies down and reduces their movement speed. This is the perfect way to trap enemies in the perfect spot for his current form, or temporarily override enemy rush combos.

Ramattra's signature move is the ability to transform into his Nemesis form, which increases his health to 600 and transforms him into a devastating punching machine that unleashes barrier-piercing shockwaves from his fists using an alternate primary fire called Pummel. Nemesis Form lasts for eight seconds with an eight second timeout.

While in Nemesis form, Ramattra can also raise his arms at any time, using his secondary fire - Block, which significantly reduces frontal damage taken, as well as damage from certain abilities, such as Hanzo's Dragonstrike and Torbjorn's Molten Core, at the cost of reducing his own movement speed ( and the ability to continue to strike, of course).

Ramattra's ultimate, Annihilation, also transforms him into his Nemesis form and causes a swarm of nanobots to spread in front of him, dealing continuous damage to all nearby enemies. In addition, the Nanobots reduce enemy damage dealt by 50%, giving Ramattra another way to protect himself and his teammates. It is important to note that Blizzard game designer Tess Layman notes that, Annihilation Duration is paused when attached to an enemy. “It doesn't end. The ultimate itself is relatively short, but once it's attached to someone, it doesn't end."

The team describes Ramattra as "Overwatch 2's first tempo tank," and judging by this first teaser, he looks like a lot of fun. The Overwatch 2 Season 27 Roadmap tells us that more details will be coming in a five-part developer blog starting on November XNUMXth. In the meantime, you can watch Ramathra's gameplay below:

If you can't wait to play as Ramattra, don't rush to rejoice. You are expected to have to grind your Overwatch 2 Season 55 Battle Pass to level XNUMX or purchase a premium track with Overwatch Coins, just like previous rookie Kiriko.
