That's right, Cities Skylines 2 comes from the original game's developer, Colossal Order, following the massive success of its city-building game and a steady stream of DLC and expansions. Oh, and the game is also coming out this year.

The game is real, and it comes from renowned Cities: Skylines developer Colossal Order, who is arguably the best city builder in its class.

Described as a "modern take on the city building genre", Cities: Skylines 2 comes with fully realized transport and economic systems, plenty of building and customization options, and more modding options than ever before.

Cities: Skylines 2 is coming to PC and consoles later this year.

“The Cities brand has been an important part of Paradox's game catalog for over a decade. "Cities: Skylines has been a huge success, selling millions of copies, welcoming more than 5,5 million new players last year alone, and establishing the foundation for the game," said Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester.

“With unprecedented customization and player control, the game will continue to push the boundaries of the city-building franchise.”

There was a lot of interesting things at the Paradox Interactive Exhibition: three new games, four expansions and many gameplay novelties. It wasn't just Colossal Order's Cities: Skylines 2, but Shadowrun Trilogy developer Harebrained Schemes showed off their new game, The Lamplighters League.

If you were also wondering about Victoria 4 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Paradox Interactive made it clear even before the show began that neither of these games would be coming - sorry to tell you that.

While many of us were naturally hoping for Cities: Skylines 2 or something close to it, Paradox had fun with that anticipation ahead of the show, tweeting in response to a fan's request for confirmation: "Um... confirmation of the Colossal Order logo in the announcement Paradox?
