Bug Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris allows players to farm an adept version of the seasonal Exalted Truth hand cannon, increasing the chances of getting the divine throw version of the weapon.

The Exalted Truth Adept is only available to players who have completed a flawless game of Trials of Osiris. Obtaining this adept in an FPS game does not guarantee a "divine roll" or special privileges. With this bug Destiny 2 Players who receive Flawless Weapons can exchange their Trials of Osiris Engrams for Adept versions of the weapons. Adept weapons are equipped with special mods, include an additional slot for perks and receive higher stats when mastered. Bungie is limiting the number of Seasonal Weapon Adepts a person can get in a single Flawless Run.

While activity farming is a common way for players to earn the best weapons in the game with their desired gods, the typical process for obtaining a Trials of Osiris adept weapon involves becoming "Flawless" by winning seven games in a row in a highly competitive PvP activity and opening chests in end of activity.

It also grants a Flawless card, allowing players to trade Trials of Osiris defocused engrams, Legendary Shards, and Glimmer for certain weapons. As a rule, the card provides only one such opportunity.

However, the bug Destiny 2 allows players to continue using their Flawless cards to exchange their engrams for the Adept versions of this season's weapons. Ultimately, players who complete the Unsullied once per weekend will be able to trade in all of their Trials Engrams for Adept versions of the Season's Challenge weapons.

Players noticed the glitch shortly after December 16 at Destiny 2 Season 19 kicked off the first Trial of Osiris. Bungie was quick to respond to the issue and noted that it was under investigation via the official Bungie Help Twitter account.

Soon after, Bungie Help updated their tweet again.

"While we continue to look into a solution to this issue, the ability to purchase multiple Adept weapons will remain active over the weekend," the tweet read. However, the report notes that the company will also temporarily disable the game's perfect match pool, which is typically held during the game's Sunday daily reset.

While some players argue that the expansion of access to adept weapons with possible god throws devalues them, others believe that such a reward option is good for the overall health of the game. Players are still required to obtain Flawless Weapons in Trials of Osiris, which is a difficult achievement. Then, for a better chance of gods dropping, players must keep mining Trials engrams to gain access to more adept versions of weapons using an exploit. This means that they must actively participate in Trials of Osiris throughout the weekend, contributing to the general pool of players.

Others complained about Bungie's decision to disable the flawless pool in the game. The Flawless Pool is a matchmaking tool that Bungie implemented to ensure that players who achieve Flawless over the weekend only play with other Flawless players. This way, weaker Trials of Osiris players will be able to get a chance to become Flawless without constantly playing against players who have already achieved Flawlessness over the weekend.

Bungie appears to have decided to disable the Flawless pool in order to limit the number of players that can access the bug. Weaker players may have relied on the Flawless pool to avoid having to play against high end players for the chance to get access to the exploit.

Regardless, Bungie's intentional decision to allow the bug Destiny 2 staying up and running over the weekend goes against the conventional wisdom that game developers only fix bugs quickly that provide some benefit to players. Players who wish to access the Trials of Osiris Adept weapon bug have until the weekly game reset tomorrow at 9am PST / noon EST / 5pm GMT to become Flawless and obtain the item.
