The final trailer for Halloween has been released. The two-minute clip continues to build on the final showdown between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers.

In this surprising final chapter, set four years after the events of last year's Halloween Kills, Laurie lives with her granddaughter Allison (Andy Matichak) and finishes writing her memoir,” the synopsis reads. “Michael Myers has not been seen since then. Laurie, having allowed Michael's ghost to define and control her reality for decades, decided to free herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of murdering the boy he babysat, it sets off a cascade of violence and horror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she cannot control, once and for all.”

Described as a more low-key film, Halloween Ends will once again be directed by David Gordon Green. Curtis will be joined by returning stars Andy Matichak as Allison Nelson, Kyle Richards as Lindsay Wallace and Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins.

The film is set in 2022, and the events of the first two films are expected to flash back four years. Green previously revealed that the triquel will likely feature some real-world events, such as the pandemic.

In 2018, Blumhouse rebooted the horror franchise with a direct sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 film. In it, Curtis returned as Laurie Strode 16 years after appearing in Rick Rosenthal's Halloween: Resurrection.

The 2018 film Halloween earned positive reviews from critics and fans and grossed over $250 million worldwide. In this regard, the studio immediately ordered two sequels - “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends”.
