You need to find and unlock three Neomun region chests are part of the quests Destiny 2 From Zero and To Hero, so it's worth taking steps to find them. From Zero is one of the earliest quests you'll receive from Nimbus as you work your way through the quest list Destiny 2 lightfall.
Where to find chests Destiny 2 in the Neomun region
Region Chests Destiny 2 Neomuna can be found in Zephyr Concourse, Ahmisa Park, and Liming Harbor. There are six chests in the Neomun region in total, and finding them is a sort of scavenger hunt based on the locations shown on the map. Note that sometimes they can be found hidden or in less obvious places. However, if you get close to one of them, you will find that they emit a beam of light into the sky, making them a little easier to find.

All chests in the Neomun region Destiny 2 lightfall
Here are some tips to help you find the various chests in the Neomun region.
North Zephyr Concourse Region Chest
This regional chest is pretty easy to find. Once you exit the north end of the Zephyr Concourse, turn left. Jump along the wall to the overhang, and then turn around and jump again to another rooftop. On a flat surface on the roof you will see a regional chest.
Chest in West Zephyr Concourse area
Look for it in an area that looks like a gym. Jump over the grate and go through it to find a chest in a hidden room.
South Zephyr Concourse Region Chest
Here you will reach a barrier that looks like jumping off it will lead you to certain death. Instead, look at the building opposite where you will see three platforms. One of them will lead you to a regional chest.
North Ahimsa Park Region Chest
This chest is hidden in a small crevice at the top of a building structure. If you look for it, you'll find an area that you can drop down into. Enter it and you will find a chest there.
Northeast District of Ahimsa Park Chest
This chest is very close to the chest in the northern part of Ahimsa Park. Once you're near the bridge that will take you to the bunker, drop down and you'll find a ledge leading to a cave. In this cave you will find a hidden chest.
Ahimsa South Park Region Chest
From the fast travel point, follow the curve to the left until you see an elevated platform. Follow the series of platforms around the building to find a chest on a ledge.
Chest in North Liming harbor area
To get to this place, you will need to go through two propellers. Once you get to this location, jump over them to the platform to find a chest behind them.
South Liming Harbor Region Chest
This chest is quite hard to find. Once you get to the place where the chest is, as shown on the map, you will need to climb up the rafters. Move across the platforms to get as high as you can and you'll find a chest on the highest rafter you can reach.
Limin Harbor Southwest Area
When you enter the main area of Liming Harbor from the north, look to your right and you will find this. Follow these platforms which will lead you to a chest.
