An update for the Warhammer 40K beta has been released: Darktide into Early Access, which fixes various glitches and bugs that appeared after the dark co-op game became available to pre-order players. Fatshark developer says he's still "far from satisfied" with stability and performance Darktide, but data collected from thousands of beta players put the game on a "good trajectory for stable play" when Darktide will be officially released on November 30th.

Update Darktide 1.07 in Early Access fixes "a significant number of glitches," including cases that occurred when players logged out of the game, exited the game during cinematic scenes, equipped weapons with certain stats, and encountered the Beast of Nurgle (a monster so scary that your game client simply switched off). The patch also fixes some bugs, such as the Veteran Sniper's Covering Fire ability not working correctly and a strange bug that caused characters' heads to rotate 180 degrees if they were looking straight at the floor.

Fatshark has also tweaked some of the character classes this patch and made adjustments to help Ogryn, Zealot, and Veteran interact more naturally with each other.

“We are far from happy and we are seeing more accidents than we hoped” -  says Fatshark, addressing performance issues reported by players. At the same time, we anticipated some of these issues and expect that the pre-launch beta will test and help resolve many of these issues."

“There is one large category of glitches in particular that manifests itself as “GPU hangs,” which will likely still show its ugly face from time to time,” the studio continues. “However, we are on a good trajectory to have a stable game at launch, thanks in large part to the many players who are helping us provide the necessary data to address these issues.”
