Warhammer 40K system requirements: Darktide

It's time to start hunting for Chaos in Hive Tertium, and the system requirements for Warhammer 40K are: Darktide have already appeared so you can make sure your PC is ready to go before diving into bloody co-op action. Fatshark has published recommended specs for various hardware environments, as well as presets to help you achieve the level you need, even if you're not using one of the best gaming PCs on the market.

If you plan to use all the fancy ray tracing effects, you'll need one of the best graphics cards. For high-level global illumination and reflection ray tracing at 4K resolution, Fatshark recommends no less than an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 - and even then you'll need DLSS enabled, as well as DLSS 3.0 frame generation technology.

Thankfully, at the lower end of the preset spectrum, you'll need something like a GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon RX 570 under the hood to see around 45 FPS at 1080p. No matter what settings you use, you'll need 50GB of storage space, and Fatshark recommends using an SSD for all but the lowest settings.

Release date Darktide was originally set for September, but it has been delayed and the game is now out 30 November - unless, of course, you make a reservation. In this case, you can start the game earlier, starting on November 17th.
