Bungie has announced that all standard armor mods Destiny 2 will be unlocked for all players starting January 11th. Because before leaving Destiny 2 With just over a month left in Lightfall, Bungie says it wants to "give everyone the opportunity to enjoy all the mods in their current state" before major changes occur in the MMORPG's next major expansion.

The new unlocked mods don't include raid mods, but they cover everything else - and that's a huge amount of items that can be frustrating to collect. Most of them can be purchased in the Tower from Ada-1, which only offers four mods at any given time - meaning you can wait quite a long time before the mod you want appears.

This can create problems for Guardians trying to put together good builds. Destiny 2 for end game and raids - if they're missing key mods, tackling the game's toughest challenges may be difficult enough to pass up.

Bungie also announced that it reduces the focus cost of Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Crucible, and Gambit equipment to 25 Legendary Shards, and also reduces the cost of Focusing Adept Weapons to 50 Legendary Shards.

Finally, the developer revealed that Grandmaster Nightfalls will arrive on January 17th, and that the next update will make Grandmaster's power cap and structure "more accessible to all players while still being some of the hardest content yet."
