Earlier today, a large number of videos and screenshots of what looks like an early build of a supposedly early build of GTA 6 surfaced online. Rockstar.
GTA 6, or whatever the next game in the series will be called, has been confirmed to be in active development. Rockstar has yet to share information about what the game will be like, but according to Bloomberg, the sequel will once again feature two main characters, one of whom is Latina, a first for the series.
According to the report's interlocutors, the game is not expected to be released for another two years. It was planned to include a large part of the Americas in the game, however, these plans were cut.
As for the setting, it looks like the game will be set in a fictional version of Miami and the surrounding area, with plans to update the game over time. Updates will regularly add new missions and new cities, and apparently this strategy is aimed at reducing the time to release, whenever it happens. It is also planned to add more interior locations compared to previous parts, which obviously affected the timing of the release of the game.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke about the game last month, saying that "the Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set the creative benchmark for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment," which certainly has high hopes for the game. Which is entirely possible, although we'll have to wait to see her in an official capacity.
