Do you like robots that disguise themselves as other types of technology? You might be happy to hear about the recent announcement of Transformers: Reactivate.

Transformers game. Reactivate was revealed at The Game Awards earlier this week: Reactivate is the latest game from Gears Tactics and Brink developer Splash Damage. You remember Brink, right? It had parkour in it! And weapons! Well, Transformers: Reactivate is the latest game from Splash Damage, which is apparently an online action game for one to four players and, unsurprisingly, allows you to play as some of the famous characters from the series.

As is the case with most games these days, the trailer didn't show any gameplay, but instead provided a cinematic look at what we can expect from the game. In the trailer, we see the one and only Bumblebee in first-person as a group of people work hard to restore him after he was seemingly destroyed during an alien robot invasion. The video was also set to an incredibly dramatic version of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive", which was honestly just terrible, but hey, Transformers are cool, so it's nice to see a new game.

The following day (December 9), it was announced that Splash Damage had acquired Battalion 1944's developer Bulkhead, which would now also be working on Transformers: Reactivate.

“This is a new era,” wrote Bulkhead on Twitter. “It’s an honor to be acquired by the developer of the games we grew up with. Everyone at Bulkhead is ready to show the world what we can do with the right partner. Let's make some f sick shooters."

Transformers: Reactivate closed beta scheduled for 2023, and when the game launches, it will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox series consoles, although it has not yet been announced where exactly the beta will take place.
