Blizzard has unveiled the Overwatch 2 Starwatch event, which will be one of the highlights of the final multiplayer season. Ahead of the release date, the trailer and roadmap for Season 2 of Overwatch XNUMX was revealed, which includes a pride event with the game's latest newcomer in the spotlight, a space opera theme for the premium battle pass, and a chance to play on a brand new fan-made map.
The full trailer, which you can see below, showcases all the action we can expect from the upcoming season. We see Starwatch uniforms for Sigma, Soldier: 76, Mercy, and Sojorn, all of whom are wearing very stylish black suits with crimson and gold trim. On the other hand, we see pretty showy outfits from Wrecking Ball, Lucio, Torbjörn, Doomfist and Winston.
The Overwatch 2 Starwatch limited-time event kicks off May 9th and includes a new game mode, as well as a comic related to it. However, that's not all that can be expected from the fourth season: on April 11, a new mode called BOB and Weave starts, which gives the opportunity to get a free Epic Cassia Lifeweaver skin.
The new face of Overwatch will, of course, also play a central role in the Overwatch 2 Pride celebration starting June 1st. As noted in our preview, the Thai plant arm Lifeweaver is pansexual, so expect it to be featured during the event alongside cover stars Tracer and Soldier: 76.
In addition, the Symmetra Challenge kicks off on May 23rd, where you can dress Vishkar Academy Graduate Symmetra in the adorable Epic Gardener skin earned through the free event. In the meantime, starting May 25th, you'll be able to play Talantis, a fan-made map that (as you'd expect from the name) looks quite spectacular and has an underwater theme.
The Overwatch 2 Starwatch Season 1000 Battle Pass has a space opera theme and is headlined by the new Galactic Emperor Sigma Mythic skin. Players who receive XNUMX Overwatch coins will be offered quite a few free skins. There are even more skins coming to the game's premium cosmetics store, including a gorgeous Pinocchio-themed skin for my beautiful orb boy Zenyatta, which I couldn't be more excited about.
Look closely and you might even notice one particularly big addition to the end of the Overwatch 2 Starwatch trailer - the long-awaited rework of Bridget's ultimate in Overwatch 2.
