The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo is a ton of fun, but did you know that the survival horror game's teaser has a third secret weapon to discover? That's right, along with Leon Kennedy's trusty pistol and the shotgun found in the village house, there's another beloved weapon from Capcom's original 2005 game that can be used in this teaser for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

While the shotgun is undoubtedly phenomenally satisfying, and the pistol is a reliable headshot machine that pairs well with Leon's penchant for vicious spin kicks, the secret weapon in the RE4 Remake demo may be the strongest of them all. It will be immediately recognizable to those who played the original.

We are talking about the Resident Evil 4 Remake TMP weapon - a “tactical pistol” that holds 50 rounds at once and quickly tears apart enemies. It's very easy to miss, as unlocking requires you to take the rather counter-intuitive step of dropping your starting equipment. We've included the full method for unlocking it below if you want to try it yourself - and it's incredibly satisfying, so I recommend it.

How to unlock TMP in Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw Demo

To unlock TMP in the Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw Demo, you must discard everything in your inventory before going through the village doors. After that, bend down and sneak forward and to the right along the first path that comes across. After following this path a little, turn left and you will see an open well ahead, which you can go down to find TMP, as well as ammo and a spare knife.

Normally the well in the demo is covered with a lid, but for some reason if you enter it with an empty inventory you will find the well open. Don't be afraid to throw everything away - the underground cave has enough ammo for a submachine gun, and you'll even get a knife to replace the one you threw on the floor.

If you're trying to play through the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo in Super Hard Mode, you'll be pleased to know that once a TMP is unlocked, it carries over to new playthroughs of the game. It's also a very powerful weapon in its own right - with 50 rounds before reloading and a bucket of spare ammo, you'll be able to take down an angry mob faster than Leon can say "Bingo."
