What are the best games to look out for this 2022 and next 2023? Hope, anticipation, agony and elation are the endless cycle of emotions we go through during the annual release of PC games.
From year to year the game - through Steam and others - are produced with such different levels of quality that none of them is doomed to success. Masterpieces emerge along with complete disasters, series are born while others fade, and every now and then a game truly lives up to our expectations. Below you'll find the upcoming PC games you should keep an eye on, along with their expected release dates.

sonic frontiers
A new game from Sonic Team has been announced, which will be released on PC. Sonic Frontiers is an open world adventure game set in the Starfall Isles. Nothing more is known yet, but we are preparing some news in anticipation.

Company of Heroes 3
Strategy game fans rejoice - Company of Heroes 3 has been officially unveiled. The new game in the beloved RTS series takes place in the mountains, deserts and Mediterranean coast. The game features a "dynamic campaign map" that unfolds differently during each playthrough of the game. In single player, there is a "full tactical pause" feature in case you need to pause the action to assess the situation.
The full version of the game will not be released until 2022, but a pre-alpha version was previously available. Here are our impressions of the Company of Heroes 3 preview.

STALKER 2
Apart from a post on Facebook by GSC Game World owner Sergey Grigoryevich that STALKER 2 is in development, we know next to nothing about the upcoming survival horror sequel.
All we have is the official website with a few trailers. This isn't the first time the game has been in production, but let's hope things go smoothly this time.

The Outlast Trials
In the game Outlast Trials you can share with your friends the horror of hunting animals with sledgehammers. This time you are not exploring a hospital, instead you and your friends are guinea pigs in experiments conducted by the Murkoff Corporation. Oh, and you can forget about carrying a night vision video camera with you everywhere, instead the guys at Murkoff have implanted night vision goggles directly into your skull. You are lucky.

Convergence
Another League of Legends spin-off, but this time for Ekko, who travels through time. This is an action platformer led by Speed Brawl developer Double Stallion Games.

Homeworld 3
Homeworld, the beloved real-time strategy game series, is getting its long-awaited third installment. Homeworld 2 came out almost 18 years ago, but in recent years the positive reception of the Homeworld Remastered Collection and prequel Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak has prompted publisher Gearbox and developer Blackbird Interactive to work on an official sequel. Expect more tiny ships zipping gracefully through the vastness of space and "a ballistic weapon system similar to Homeworld 1."

Starfield
When Bethesda took the stage at E3 2018, The Elder Scrolls 6 wasn't the only big surprise. We can also rejoice in their upcoming space game: although it may take some time.
However, it's a lot further along than the company's famous fantasy series, but that's all we know for now. In general, when it comes to Starfield, "everyone needs to be very patient." However, our interstellar interest in the game has already been awakened.

Suicide Squad: Kill the justice league
We've been wondering for years what Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady is up to, and finally we've got the answer: Suicide Squad. We can't say it's the game we were hoping for, but Rocksteady did an amazing job with the Batman license so we're pretty confident about it. There are no real details about the Suicide Squad game, but the studio revealed more details at the DC Fandome event on August 22.

KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM 2
The addictive space exploration game returns to our hearts with a host of new features, improved graphics and friendlier AI that should please long-time fans and newcomers alike. Kerbal Space Program 2 is being developed by Star Theory games and aims to bring a new "next generation" of capabilities to the delightful physics puzzle game.

redfall
From the trailer, we learned that Redfall is a game about a group of misfits using their weapons and strange abilities against a horde of cultists and vampires. But Arkane Studios did a great job with this idea.
All four playable characters have cool designs and superpowers: there's a psychic girl who summons a ghostly elevator to launch her friends into the sky, a sniper with a crow friend, a nerd with a gatling gun filled with stakes, and a techie with a tiny robot friend. They make an immediate first impression and we can't wait to see more.

Warzone 2
According to numerous reports, a sequel to the action game from Activision Blizzard is being prepared. From what we've heard so far, it's going to be a completely separate game, which means you'll have to leave your best gear for Warzone. So far, we don't know much about it, but since the launch is scheduled for next year, details should appear soon.

Prologue
Prologue is something from the developers of PUBG. The website calls the game an "exploration of new technology and gameplay," and all we can go for is a short teaser image featuring rain, rock, the sound of breathing, and the distant sound of a dog barking. We'd bet on it being a narrative experience with some horror overtones, though it's hard to imagine the studio moving away from multiplayer just yet.

Midnight ghost hunt
In the multiplayer Hide and Seek game Midnight Ghost Hunt, evil spirits are causing havoc and it's your job to track them down and thwart their ghostly machinations before the clock strikes midnight and the ghosts gain the power to hunt you. Alternatively, you can play as a ghost yourself, hiding in furniture and biding your time before wreaking havoc.

ROLLER CHAMPIONS
Although the game was originally intended to be something similar to Rocket League, Roller Champions seems to be something of its own. As the release date for Roller Champions approaches, we will learn that it will be a skill-based PvP sports game in which two teams of three will race around the track to score points.
It certainly looks exciting and developer Ubisoft certainly wants to take advantage of this and develop a competitive scene around the upcoming game. The company wants Roller Champions to be "as fun as the game is," so the company is expected to attract a variety of streamers and sports personalities to ensure its longevity.

The Wolf Among Us 2
One of the most surprising updates at The Games Awards 2019 was the return of The Wolf Among Us 2. You can expect the same choice-and-consequence style storytelling from Telltale's previous games. However, don't expect it anytime soon as developer LCG Entertainment has hit the reboot button.

xdefiant
In Ubisoft's upcoming arena shooter, teams of "renegades" will fight in a 6v6 format, using custom loadouts and powerful abilities unique to your chosen "faction." You'll be able to change your gear with each rebirth to adapt to the fast-paced battles as they unfold. The game will be free-to-play and recently dropped the Tom Clancy brand.

The Outer Worlds 2
Obsidian's popular retro-futuristic role-playing game is getting a sequel. The teaser trailer doesn't tell us much, simply showing off exotic alien landscapes and futuristic combat, but with a snarky, self-deprecating voiceover informing us that "the developers haven't finished [the main character's] design, story, or gameplay that's actually ready for the show." We don't have any more details, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

SKULL & BONES
Black Flag and For Honor meet for PvP sailing, piracy and cannon shooting in Skull & Bones. Familiar to anyone who has played Assassin's Creed's naval adventure, the user interface and controls feature unusual scoring mechanisms, and it's not just about taking out the enemy team.

Project 007
Hitman 3 developer IO Interactive has announced a completely new project - and it's a game about James Bond. The teaser video shows a bullet being loaded into a gun, then pans around to show the iconic shot from the barrel of the gun - although Bond himself is nowhere to be seen. That's all we know about Project 007 for now, but we're already sold.

Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 is apparently still around and "progressing fantastically" at developer Sumo. How similar it will be to the strange Californian solar pocalypse we saw during the initial announcement is anyone's guess.
The development of the first-person zombie killer was chaotic, to say the least. As far as we've heard, Dead Island 2 is still in development. However, when it comes to her current state, one can only guess.

The Elder Scrolls 6
Bethesda wrapped up its E3 2018 conference in the best possible way by announcing the upcoming PC game we've all wanted: The Elder Scrolls VI. The teaser trailer only shows rocky hills, ruined castles and coastlines, but we're still waiting for the setting and of course the launch window.
We didn't hear anything more at the next E3. At E3 2019, game director Todd Howard let us go early, saying there would be no more news about The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield, but stressed that Bethesda is "still working hard" on both games.

Star Citizen
Star Citizen is without a doubt one of the most ambitious games in the world, aiming to be the ultimate space exploration.
Taking to the skies in one of the many ridiculously detailed ships, you can join the military, become a reputable merchant of goods, live the life of a smuggler or become a pilot known throughout the universe. Of course, if development ever ends.

System Shock 3
System Shock 3 was announced back in 2015, it was developed by Otherside Entertainment, and Warren Spector was appointed studio director. However, the project has since passed into the hands of Tencent, which will “develop the franchise.”

Beyond Good & Evil 2
Yes, it's happening, but the release date for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is probably still very, very far away. According to the creator of the game, Michel Ancel, the team needs a lot of community input, as well as the help of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and hitRECord, to move the game forward. The beta version of Beyond Good & Evil 2 was scheduled for the end of 2019, however, it seems that this date has now been postponed.

Project L
So good that they announced it twice, Riot is also diving into the fighting game genre. So it's only fitting that we first heard about Project L at EVO 2019 and then got another quick look at the LoL 10th Anniversary show.
Fighting games are a big part of the sports scene, from the anime battle series DragonBall FightersZ to Mortal Kombat. We haven't seen much of Project L, so we'll have to wait a little longer to find out what it will play.

Skate 4
We don't know anything about it other than it's confirmed - however, we're incredibly excited for the series to return. Come to think of it, we don't even know if it's coming to PC...

Diablo 4
We finally have confirmation about Diablo 4. We always knew it was coming, but getting a glimpse of it is very exciting. We know the Druid class will be returning to the Diablo 4 class roster, and we had fun playing with it at Blizzcon. Additionally, it looks like there will be a lot of room for creative builds in Diablo 4, especially since it was revealed that mythic items will be available.
Details are coming out right now - the game will be open world, and Blizzard is planning extensive player customization. However, the game will maintain the same balance between looting and dungeon crawling that fans have come to love. However, we may have to wait until 2023.

VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE – BLOODLINES 2
It's taken 18 long years, but now we finally have a sequel to the cult classic Bloodsucker. The sequel takes us to Seattle, but the land of coffee and grunge has been given a crimson hue as you unravel another rich mystery.
Yet while the original game was remembered for its engaging narrative, it was still riddled with bugs and frustrating combat. Luckily, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 takes advantage of exciting simulators like Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex in its gameplay to make the vampire brawls as fun as the story. The game's release date has been pushed back after a developer change, but we're more than ready to dive into the game when it finally arrives.

Resident evil 4 remake
After two very successful remakes in recent years, it was only a matter of time before Capcom turned its attention to one of the series' most beloved installments: Resident Evil 4. Details on the remake have been revealed to VGC, and while it's said to be a long way off, we still looking forward to what Capcom has in store for us.

Haunted Chocolatier
The next game from Stardew Valley developer Eric "Concerned Ape" Barone has been announced, set in a charming fantasy town with plenty of spooky happenings. The game will feature the charming pixel art style of Stardew Valley, although the gameplay will focus on combat rather than farming.

RoboCop: Rogue City
During Nacon Direct 2021, publishers revealed that the RoboCop video game will arrive in 2023. Developed by Teyon, the team behind Teyon's Terminator: Resistance, RoboCop: Rogue City takes place in old Detroit as the hero embarks on an "explosive hunt for the truth" from a first-person perspective. The game's plot is based on the cult sci-fi film RoboCop, which tells the story of Alex Murphy, a Detroit police officer who, after being seriously injured on duty, returns to life as a cyborg.
