Getting your hands on an AMD Ryzen 7000 processor could soon become a much more affordable undertaking as the red team gears up to release a batch of new processors at a lower price. However, as you might expect, the cost reduction comes at the expense of performance, as the newer chips have lower clock speeds and TDPs.

Despite the less powerful specs, the new AMD Ryzen 7000 processors can be a great option for those who want to get the best gaming processor with the best balance of price and performance. Also, the lower TDP should make it a lot easier to cool your CPUs if you don't like AIO coolers or water cooling in your PC.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600 have the same number of cores, threads and L3 cache as their X counterparts, according to announcements made by French retailer PC21 (across momomo_us). While their accelerated clocks are within arm's reach of more powerful chips, the base clocks are much lower.

It's not yet clear how much these processors cost, and how the reduced clock speed will affect frame rates in the best PC games. However, it is likely that these AMD Ryzen 7000 processors will still offer good performance.
