Recent leak from Genshin Impact 3.6 indicates that the game will introduce another weekly boss - a giant snake named Apep. In the world of Teyvat, Apep is known as the friend of King Deshret and the parent of the Venut snakes found throughout the Sumeru Desert. The story is certainly interesting, but if Apep is anything like existing snake bosses, we should expect an unreasonably long battle.

All existing snake-like bosses - the Golden Wolf, the Serpent of Ruin, and the recently added Setekh Venut - can enter a state of invulnerability to extend the fight against them.

They can either fly through the air at uncomfortable heights or burrow underground to avoid damage entirely. In the case of the Golden Wolf, the shield must be broken through a time-consuming mini-game.

With such a track record of awkward mechanics, the snake leader is likely to be even more difficult to deal with. Apep will be the first of this group to not be a regular world boss, but will be available for battle in the weekly trounce domain.

Rumor has it that Kava and Baizhu will need Apep's materials to ascend, so if you're playing as one of the new Dendro characters, you'll have to take on this giant green serpent.

Genshin Impact 3.6 Apep

The information leak came from the well-known leaker Genshin, Merlin Impact, who posted a picture of the boss on Twitter. It looks like Apep is coming along with the new desert map expansion, which is where you'll likely find the domain.

Version 3.5 Genshin Impact just started, so we won't see Apep, Baizha, or Kaveh until patch 3.6 for a few more weeks.
