In the franchise saga Silent Hill and her ongoing rumors have taken another twist in the form of the director of the 2006 film adaptation, Christophe Gance. Speaking to French website Movie & Game, Hans (who currently has scripts ready for a new Silent Hill film in addition to the Fatal Frame adaptation) added fuel to long-running rumors about multiple Silent Hill projects, stating that "several games are in the works in development" with "multiple teams".

Although Gans claims he is not involved in any of the projects, he has kept in touch with Team Silent, whom he met while working on the 2006 film. When questioned, Christoph Gans admitted that the Bloober Team was indeed working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, among other projects.

Last month, the rating commission of South Korea published a rating of the game called Silent Hill: The Short Message, which may be the British Silent Hill game known as Silent Hill: Sakura.

In addition to talking about games, Gans mentioned his own Silent Hill movie, stating that he plans to make it more psychological than his first film and focus on the reality of the city of Silent Hill itself.

Konami has not yet responded to Hans' interview.
