High-end players are always finding ways to maximize their performance in FPS games like Modern Warfare 2, as a series of well-timed entries can often lead to improved movement techniques that help them stand out above the rest in online multiplayer. Now, it looks like a new Call of Duty technique has been found, and it gives us the Titanfall 3 and Advanced Warfare 2 we've always dreamed of, inside the shooter from Infinity Ward.

This recently showcased movement tech in Modern Warfare 2—which refers to a technique that players can use to push the game's movement mechanics to the limit—is as stupid as it is flashy and effective, and I'm one hundred percent for it. Movement in Call of Duty combines dolphin diving and jumping (though it's hard to tell in wide shots), allowing you to get some impressive time in the air. Combined with Modern Warfare 2's best guns, this looks like one of the most fun ways to get easy kills in multiplayer.

If you dolphin dive onto a ledge in any of the Modern Warfare 2 maps and combine it with a jump, you'll fly very far and very quickly. It's almost like using a bounce in a platformer - it takes you far and fast. Eat your heart out for Mario's triple jump.

If you want to see this new dolphin movement tech glitch in Modern Warfare 2, then xronhs98 has shared a video showing it in first person from the perspective of the player and other members of the match, which you can find on Reddit.

As you can imagine, this movement technology unlocked at the start of Modern Warfare 2's first season can lead to some pretty wild matches. Many players in the comments commented on how absurd this travel technology is, with one joking: "Maybe the unemployed will go look for jobs or something?" and another adding: "Lol, they'll downgrade this in 5 hours."

This is where we get to the truly devastating part of this story, because yes, this travel tech is indeed more of a glitch, and yes, Infinity Ward will likely be looking for fixes when they appear on their radar, if they haven't already. It should also be noted that this is not "bunnyhopping", which has been largely toned down. Bunny hopping is when you use your momentum from a jump while moving quickly to keep moving at an increased speed.
