Unlocking each Modern Warfare 2 master camo is a lengthy process that requires you to master each weapon platform individually. However, the system has changed a bit this time around because each weapon only has four basic camo challenges that must be completed before you can get into mastery camo. How to unlock Modern Warfare 2 mastery camouflages
Just like the Modern Warfare 2 Gunsmith system, which has been upgraded to make it easier to unlock weapon attachments, the same approach has been taken when it comes to unlocking camo. Over 180 base camouflages are available at launch, with additional skins being added to new weapons each season. However, to start unlocking Mastery Camouflage Challenges, you only need four base camouflages for your weapon of choice.
After you complete the base weapon, you will unlock the gold camo challenge and you will need to complete that challenge on that weapon before you can equip the camo. The same picture is observed for platinum and polyatomic.
Here are all MW 2 mastery camouflages:
- Gold is unlocked after all four basic camo challenges for that weapon are completed and you complete the challenge for that particular weapon.
- Platinum camo is unlocked when you get gold for each weapon in that category and complete a challenge for that particular weapon.
- Polyatomic camo is unlocked when you earn platinum on 51 individual weapons and complete a weapon challenge.
- Orion is automatically unlocked on 51 guns when you collect a polyatomic camouflage on each of those 51 guns - no additional challenges are required.
