A new Fatshark blog explains the five activities that will be available at the Sanctuary of the Omnissiah, a crafting station aboard the Omnissiah. You can choose to consecrate items, receive blessings, combine blessings, re-consecrate weapons, or upgrade items. Consecration is the simplest upgrade tool, allowing you to add a random perk or blessing depending on the type of item and its new holiness level. 'Earn Blessings' allows you to extract powerful blessings from weapons you don't need, turning them into "votive offerings" but giving away the weapons. Reconsecration weapons in the shrine allows you to replace an existing blessing with one of the votive offerings you retrieved - you will lose the original blessing of the weapon, but will receive the desired one in its place. Finally, you can use 'refine item' to reveal the 'true nature' of your weapons and equipment. Each time you use this command, one selected property is removed and replaced with a new one selected at random. You can upgrade an item multiple times in search of the perfect throw, but the cost increases with each attempt.
