Warhammer 40K crafting system: Darktide allows players to unleash the potential of the best weapons and equipment Darktide , improving them and adding new benefits and blessings. If you want to get ahead of the forces of Chaos and dominate this dark industrial fantasy game, you'll need every edge you can get. Developer Fatshark talks about how the new crafting system, the first part of which appeared in update 1.08 Darktide, will work in the full release.

A new Fatshark blog explains the five activities that will be available at the Sanctuary of the Omnissiah, a crafting station aboard the Omnissiah. You can choose to consecrate items, receive blessings, combine blessings, re-consecrate weapons, or upgrade items. Each of these methods offers different ways to improve equipment or transfer its bonuses to other items.

Consecration is the simplest upgrade tool, allowing you to add a random perk or blessing depending on the type of item and its new holiness level. 'Earn Blessings' allows you to extract powerful blessings from weapons you don't need, turning them into "votive offerings" but giving away the weapons. You can then "combine blessings" to combine the three votive offerings into one improved one. Fatshark notes that most offerings are currently limited to Level XNUMX, but there are exceptions, and that the company is currently testing more combinations.

Reconsecration weapons in the shrine allows you to replace an existing blessing with one of the votive offerings you retrieved - you will lose the original blessing of the weapon, but will receive the desired one in its place. Finally, you can use 'refine item' to reveal the 'true nature' of your weapons and equipment. Each time you use this command, one selected property is removed and replaced with a new one selected at random. You can upgrade an item multiple times in search of the perfect throw, but the cost increases with each attempt.

No matter which of the Darktide classes you prefer, you will definitely want to use the crafting features Darktideto fully improve your arsenal. If you're ready to get started, you'll find the Dark Sea upgrade station, Sanctuary of the Almighty, next to Tech Priest Hadron Omega-7-7 aboard the Sorrowful Star. You'll be able to try out Consecration for now starting with Update 1.08, with the rest of the features coming in future updates.

If you can't wait to get started before the full release Darktide November 30, know that your progress is in beta Darktide will be moved to the full version.
