Last summer we got our first official look at Hogwarts Legacy. RPG in the Harry Potter universe looks incredibly promising, but we'll have to wait longer than expected.

“We would like to thank fans all over the world for the overwhelming response to the announcement. Hogwarts Legacy from our label Portkey Games. Creating the best possible experience for the entire Wizarding World and gaming fans is of the utmost importance to us, which is why we're dedicating as much time to the game as it needs." the statement said. The long-awaited next-gen RPG is now out in 2022.

Hogwarts Legacy is being developed by Just Cause developer Avalanche and will not feature Potter himself. The game takes place hundreds of years before the advent of Harry Potter and lets you become the wizard you wish. You can be evil or good, explore the grounds of Hogwarts and see all the iconic sights of the Wizarding World. Prior to the game being unveiled in 2020, some footage was leaked online a few years prior.

The game will be completely single player and will hopefully fulfill the fantasies of many Harry Potter fans.

“Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. You're a latecomer to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and soon discover that you're no ordinary student: you have an unusual ability to perceive and master Ancient magic. Only you can decide whether you will protect this secret for the greater good, or succumb to the temptation of a more sinister magic,” reads the official description of the game.

Hogwarts Legacy looks very promising, so we hope that the delay will live up to all expectations. Hogwarts Legacy Coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
