A gaming PC enthusiast has crafted a miniature computer out of wood with plenty of room for the hardware. As impressively compact as this build is, you can imagine it would look even more compact when placed next to an Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card.

Reddit user mattzzz199 built this “ultra-compact” gaming PC from Australian Ironbark wood, and published a video showing the step-by-step process on his YouTube channel MXC Builds. Powered by an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, an Intel Core i3 8100 processor and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, this PC is more of a modest system than the best gaming PC in the world, but it's the fact that it all fits into this tiny wooden case that makes it stand out among the others.

The video itself details how they assembled this gaming PC, revealing that a number of components - such as fake heatsinks - were 3D printed. The IO's cover boasts a matte black finish with a brushed copper finish that has also been applied to the graphics card for a rustic effect.

While the case was built from Australian iron bark, the motherboard tray is made from plywood. Looking at how MB sits on it, you can see how little space was wasted to fit a fully functional PC into such a small chassis.

Of course, she will absolutely chicken out at the sight of the Nvidia RTX 4090, which is 336 mm long. However, comparing the 1050mm long GTX 144,78 Ti to one of the best graphics cards in the world is not entirely fair. This custom gaming PC will certainly wince at the sight of Team Green's latest hardware offering, but then again, the pixelated pusher makes some full-sized cases tremble in fear.
