In addition to long queues, an exploit appeared in Blizzard's multiplayer game Overwatch 2 Bastion. Players are manipulating the hero's new ultimate ability to be incredibly destructive and powerful, so it's only a matter of time before Blizzard releases a fix for the FPS game.
With the release of Overwatch 2, the transforming omnic hero Bastion has had some aspects of his personality changed; namely, its ultimate capacity. Now, instead of an ultimate that turns him into a tank that can move around the map, he turns into a stationary artillery cannon, which allows you to select any points on the map and call three powerful artillery strikes in the allotted time.
On paper it's an interesting change, but the game-breaking exploit makes the ability completely OP. Players find themselves able to unleash as many artillery strikes as possible on unsuspecting enemy teams, with hilariously frustrating results.
It is currently unclear what is causing the Overwatch 2 Bastion exploit, but I have no doubt that Blizzard is aware of this issue and will send a fix for it very soon. At the same time, it may be best to refrain from playing as this character, as the studio's own code of conduct may indicate that using the exploit could result in a ban.
"You are responsible for how you and your account are represented in the game world," writes Blizzard. “Deceit in any form will lead to immediate action. Using third party software to automate any aspect of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that provides an unfair advantage is considered cheating."
"Using Mistakes" sounds a lot like ultimatum firing Bastion indefinitely rather than thrice, and I'm not sure how much Blizzard will forgive someone who does it by accident the first time and then repeats it on purpose. Blizzard even says it reserves the right to restrict "offending accounts as much as necessary", so be careful even if the Overwatch 2 Bastion exploit gives you a matchup advantage.
