Gregory Mann as Pinocchio
Gregory Mann brings to life the character of Pinocchio, a wooden boy with a borrowed soul, lovingly carved by Geppetto. Pinocchio has a lot to learn about the world, and he goes to school, but along the way he goes astray, he is deceived by a fox, a cat and a scary puppeteer. Mann also provides the voice of Carlo, Geppetto's deceased son, who dies in a bombing raid at the beginning of the film.
Gregory Mann is an actor, known for his role as young Eli in the film Guernsey Literary Society and Potato Pie, and for his role as William Monmouth in the historical drama Victoria in 2019. This will be the young actor's first voice-over role.
Ewan McGregor as Sebastian J. Cricket
Ewan McGregor voices Sebastian the talking cricket. We know what you're thinking: in the Disney movies, the talking cricket is named Jiminy, but in the original, the cricket has no name. In del Toro's film, the cricket plays the same role as the cricket from the original story, imparting his wisdom from the woodshop rather than accompanying Pinocchio on his adventures as a physical reminder of the boy's morality. David Bradley as Geppetto
David Bradley voices the wood carver Geppetto, who del Toro says carves a wooden boy from a tree trunk that once grew over the grave of his beloved son Carlo. The talking cricket describes him as the imperfect father of an imperfect son. After losing Carlo, Geppetto gets another chance to be a father by creating an enchanted Pinocchio.

Tilda Swinton as Fairy
Tilda Swinton voices a character known as the Turquoise Haired Fairy, named after the character in the original story, who was the spirit of the forest, referring to the wooden boy as a son. Del Toro's performance of the Blue Fairy is very different from her predecessors: she has glowing eyes, and wings of peacock feathers are attached to her disembodied form. In the preview, Swinton's mesmerizing voice tells the wooden boy dreamily to fill his father's days with light before giving him a name.
Tilda Swinton is an inimitable actress, known for her roles in the films “The Snowman,” “Suspiria” and “Only Lovers Left Alive.” Marvel fans will recognize her as the Ancient One who taught Doctor Strange eldric magic. For her role (or rather, roles) in the film Suspiria, the actress managed to pull off a rather interesting trick by applying heavy makeup and portraying an actor named Lutz Ebersdorf, who was assigned the role of psychologist Dr. Klemperer. The joke continued after the film's release, and the co-actors noted how much influence the fictional Ebersdorf had on them while working on the project. Swinton later admitted in an interview that it was her all along, saying she was just making the joke for fun. It later turned out that Swinton was the actress who, under a lot of makeup, portrayed Marcos's rotting mother in the same film.
Finn Wolfhard as Candlewick
The role of the troublemaker Candlewick is played by Finn Wolfhard. Candlewick, also called Romeo and Lumpwick in the original tale, is Pinocchio's best friend. In del Toro's film, he is the son of the fascist Podesta. At first mocking the wooden boy, he soon becomes his friend.
Finn Wolfhard is best recognized for his starring role as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which premiered its fourth season earlier this year. Wolfhard is also known for the characters he played in reboots of classic films, such as Richie Tozier in It and Trevor in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Christoph Waltz as Count Wolpe

Cate Blanchett will voice the monkey Sprezzatura, a new character added to the story who is Count Volpe's pet. Blanchett was cast in the role after del Toro compared the actress to a brash, unruly twelve-year-old boy on the set of Nightmare Alley.

Ron Perlman is a screen and stage actor who has appeared in more than 200 film projects. Under significant makeup, he is most recognizable as Hellboy from the first two films in the franchise, and as Pernell Harris in the Hand of God series. In 2021, Perlman played the politically incorrect Benedict Drask in Don't Look Up opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and worked alongside his Pinnochio co-star Cate Blanchett in the crime drama Nightmare Alley.
