Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith are back in Saw 10 set to release on October 27, 2023, and we've learned that filming has wrapped!

The project was directed by franchise veteran Kevin Greutert, who directed the highly acclaimed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, and edited Saw IV and Inside Out. Today Greutert tweetedto announce the end of filming for the film he affectionately calls Saw X, while expressing his hope that the title will catch on.

Greutert stated, "Hopefully we can use the name Saw 10 because this chapter really goes back to the roots of what makes SAW so special to me and everyone else who loves the John Kramer saga."

While plot details remain sparse at the moment, the director's announcement of Kramer's return in a "gory, blood-splattering story" is intriguing. Perhaps the big question is how will Amanda Smith fit into the equation, and what insidious traps has Jigsaw come up with this time around?

That Greutert also included "the phenomenal team of prosthetists from Fractured FX" among his many tweets of thanks bodes well for Saw X.

In the sequel, Bell and Smith co-star with Renata Vaka (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z), Octavio Hinojosa (Play with Me), Sinneve Makody Lund ( Ragnarok), Steven Brand (Sandman) and Michael Beach (Dahmer). The script was written by franchise veterans Josh Stolberg (Inside Out, Spiral) and Pete Goldfinger (Inside Out, Spiral).

Lionsgate previously reported on the sequel: "Tobin Bell's return to the franchise further reinforces Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures' goal to create a film that has everything that Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with new traps and a new riddle to unravel."

Stay tuned for news about the Saw 10 movie as it arrives and get ready for the franchise's bloody return just in time for Halloween 2023.
