Lovecraftian horror film Venus is on its way. Sony Pictures International Productions and Amazon Prime Video recently teamed up with Alex de la Iglesia (Day of the Beast, The Last Circus, The Witch and the Bitch) to produce the feature film series Fear Collection.

It began with Alex de la Iglesia's film Venicephrenia, released in Spain last November.

The next film is Venus, directed by horror veteran Jaume Balagueró, co-director of REC and REC 2, and director of Sleep Tight and The Darkness.

The second film in the anthology series is described as a supernatural horror story set in an urban survival environment with elements of modern witchcraft.

Following its world premiere in the Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness program (read Meagan's review here), Bloody Disgusting has released the official international trailer for the film, which the festival calls "cosmic horror set in the concrete corridors of a cursed apartment complex on the outskirts of Madrid."

The horror film Venus is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "Dreams in the Witch House". The film stars Esther Expósito, Angela Cremonte, Magui Mira, Fernando Valdivieso and Federico Aguado.

Lovecraftian horror film Venus will also open Sitges before going into exclusive release throughout Spain on December 2nd courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Following its theatrical release, Venus will be available on Prime Video. Thanks to Fabien for sending it.
